This project participated in the Israeli pavilion for the 2016 Venice Biennale.

Using a method to synthesize Nano cellulose in a lab, developed by Prof. Oded Shosayov, NCArchitects used this new material to develop a modern sustainable desert shelter for desert inhabitants which supplies them with renewable energy for cooling, lighting and drinking water. Nano cellulose can be processed using different methods to create a structure that is 10 times stronger than steel, that can be formed easily from hardening of a gel of nano cellulose and which its translucency can be controlled.
